New York, New York, Oct. 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (New York, NY) Dress for Success Worldwide, an international not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence, today announced luxury clothing brand Peruvian Connection as its latest corporate sponsor. The announcement came during the 12th annual Women Who Inspire 2018 Breakfast, delighting all in attendance.

“Sharing the news of Peruvian Connection’s partnership was the perfect punctuation to the inspirational event,” said Joi Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of Dress for Success. “Hundreds of women came together to empower each other, honor those paving the way and evoke positive change in the workplace. Peruvian Connection’s commitment to Dress for Success amplifies their support and the support of all those who stand behind our mission, enabling us to reach even more women.”

Dress for Success and Peruvian Connection will launch the partnership with a week-long initiative of giving back. From November 4th through November 10th, Peruvian Connection will donate 15% of all purchase proceeds made by Dress for Success supporters. The initiative will be available shopping online and in retail locations.

Peruvian Connection will also support Dress for Success on Giving Tuesday, taking place on Tuesday November 27th, 2018. “Our inventive designs and sophisticated silhouettes allow women around the world to find confidence through the art of fashion,” said Annie Hurlbut, Founder of Peruvian Connection. “We are elated to put our passion for self-expression behind a cause that empowers so many women to present the best version of themselves.”

Dress for Success Worldwide Success Ambassador, Anita, shared her inspirational story of overcoming adversity during the Women Who Inspire Breakfast. About Peruvian Connection
Peruvian Connection was founded in 1976 by Annie Hurlbut and her mother, Biddy. An anthropologist by trade, Annie was fascinated by the extraordinary hand woven pieces she found in the markets while studying in Peru. After gifting her mother a luxurious Peruvian alpaca sweater coat trimmed with fur, friends and family wanted to purchase Peruvian sweaters as well. They started importing a few sweaters, then created a catalog and more than 40 years later Peruvian Connection’s collections are available in the brand’s retail stores, online and by catalog.

Today, each piece is created by an extraordinary group of designers, then made by artisans in Peru from Andean luxury fibers, including the finest alpaca and pima cotton. Peruvian Connection releases five internationally renowned collections each year. For more information please visit PeruvianConnection.com.
