She was a big hit with viewers on Big Brother in 2017, but Chanelle McCleary has opened up about having plastic surgery in the past to boost her confidence.

Chanelle, 27, from Blackley, addressed body confidence and mental health at an event hosted by Naked Beach star Jsky.

The model and reality TV star has had liposuction, a Brazilian bum lift and breast surgery, but would advise her younger self and others to 'just be yourself.'

"I've had plastic surgery to fit in," she said.

"I've done loads of things to fit in. So my advice to my younger self, and to anyone else would be to just be yourself."

Chanelle was one of the guest speakers at the event at FoodWell in Manchester, and she sashayed to the stage in a jaw-dropping leopard print number.

Sharing a photo of her arrival she told her Instagram followers: "Cellulite on show & not a single f**k given. No one is perfect. "What an amazing evening speaking on all things mental health and self love."

Chanelle, who has 685,000 followers on Instagram, also spoke about the pros and cons of Instagram.

“Let’s be honest, the girls on Instagram don’t look like the girls on Instagram," she said.

"We put so much pressure on ourselves. But Instagram is a highlights reel.

"It’s just the best bits of someone’s life.

"That’s why I try to be real with my followers. People have seen me laugh and they’ve seen me cry, but these are all different versions of me being myself.

“If I can help just one person to feel better about themselves, then that motivates me to keep going.

"Knowing that there are people who look up to me really helps me on my down days.”

Jsky's 50 guests entered a room adorned with inspirational quotes and the singer opened the event with a performance of his new positivity-powered single Keep Your Love On and his self-love anthem Myself.

Also speaking at the event was former Hollyoaks actress Jazmine Franks, who wowed in a glitzy sequin dress and over-the-knee boots.

The actress, from Bury, spoke about the ups and downs of fame, popularity and pursuing your dream.

“I was on Hollyoaks for over eight years," she said.

"I started really young so in many ways I grew up on the show.

"I literally went from my phone not stopping and getting invites to events every weekend to having almost no one call when I left the show. That was really hard.

"I had to really ask myself what my purpose was and get back out there.”

She added: “It’s about keeping the momentum going.

"Acting or pursuing your dream is like working on a muscle.

"The more you work at it the easier it gets, but when you stop you can lose it.”

Jsky, who turned heads in a fringed dress with a sleeveless jacket and over the knee leatherette boots, held the event to promote positivity and wellbeing.

Topics of discussion included social media, image and body confidence, and dreams and motivation.

Jsky, who says his life has been transformed by appearing on the motivational Channel Four show Naked Beach which gave three willing participants to gain the confidence to strip naked, said: “It’s interesting to see that everyone in the audience thinks better of the way the panellists look than they do themselves.

"It isn’t arrogant to love yourself. By championing yourself, accepting who you are and owning your body you can literally change your whole life.”

Guests were treated to wax melts with an inspirational quote by Jsky from his recent speech at The Economist’s Open Future 2019 event at Old Trafford Cricket Ground - “Everyone has the potential to love themselves and to be who they want."
