DOHA: Fifty-two females including 24 Qatari students of the eighth batch have graduated from the Qatar International Beauty Academy (Tajmeel), a Nama institution.

These students have completed all the requirements of the programs they enrolled in, and received professional certifications that qualify them to practice a leading role in the market and build a prosperous future for themselves and their community.

All graduates have qualified with internationally recognised certificates including UK based City and Guilds, ITEC or CIDESCO from Switzerland, and have earned either an international accredited award, a certificate or a diploma depending on the courses they have studied.

The ceremony, held last week, included several segments where, in addition to highlighting the achievements made during the year, the Academy’s partnerships in this sector of business were also announced.

Talking to The Peninsula, Beverley Crowther, Principal of Tajmeel said: “Today we are proud to award certificates to 52 international accredited graduates who were taking courses which were four months to two years long.”

“We offer international qualifications CIDESCO diploma, ITEC/ CIBTAC diplomas. The diploma that Tajmeel offers is four months training, which entitles make up diploma. This make up diploma teaches the make-up skills which are relative to the region,” added Beverley.

Tajmeel gives degrees to everyone aged above 16 years. During summer vacations, Tajmeel hosts special program for teenagers to give them basic classes about skin care and hygiene.

She added: “We have speciality in in-depth skin care program because it is very important for the makeup artist to know about the skin in detail. We have different categories for learning expertise in massage, spa treatments, nails, hair etc.”

Discussing about the up-coming batch, she said: “In upcoming semester we have a new course of ‘Arabic Makeup’, which is an international recognised qualification.”

Qatar International Beauty Academy (Tajmeel), which was founded by NAMA Center in 2009, is promoting professionalism in the field of cosmetics as well as its compatibility with international quality standards.
