Police seized more than 20 million baht in cash and other items from a house of one of eight key suspects involved in the production and supply of unlicensed food supplements and cosmetics during raids at 13 locations.

More than 100 police officers, led by deputy national police chief Veerachai Songmetta, on Saturday raided houses and warehouses of the eight suspects involved in the production and supply of unlicensed products produced by Magic Skin Co at 13 locations in Bangkok and other provinces.

The eight suspects wanted under arrest warrants are Ms Wannapa Puangson, Mr Korn Puangson, Mr Kasin Wonchingtan, Mr Maiyasit Sawangtham, Mr Piniti Tiranawattuporn, Ms Thanatpan Bunyosit, Ms Treechada Chaisabai and Ms Maturot Daengsamrit, Thai media reported.

During a raid on the home of Ms Treechada, police seized 19.1 million baht in cash, 53 gold rings and other valuable items, with a combined value of over 21 million baht, and 100 boxes containing unlicensed cosmetics and other skincare products.

Ms Treechada and her brother Srivikorn Chaisabai were at the house in Bang Khen district of Bangkok during the raid.

Local media reports said authorities had found more than 100 million baht in circulation in the bank accounts of the suspects. Other details of the raids have not yet been reported.

The raids came after many customers filed complaints with the Royal Thai Police against Magic Skin Co for producing and selling unlicensed skincare products, cosmetics and food supplements, said Pol Gen Veerachai.
