Kim Gyngell joins Home Away star Deborah Lawrence at Love Me season two premiere in Sydney

Kim Gyngell was looking quite different to his days starring on the 1990s sitcom Col'n Carpenter as he attended a red carpet event on Tuesday.

The 70-year-old actor, who has in recent years been sporting a very bushy beard, attended the Love Me season two premiere in Sydney

Kim joins the cast of the Australian drama, which screens on Foxtel and Binge, as Richard, for its second season.

The actor looked casually dapper in a navy blue blazer and black jeans, teamed with a dress shirt and sneakers.

He had his full, salt and pepper beard in display, as well as wearing a chic pair of round reading glasses.

Kim is a well loved actor and comedian, who created the character Col'n Carpenter on The Comedy Company.

Known for his dodgy ways, his heavy Aussie accent, and refusing to pronounce the letter 'I' in his name, Kym's most popular character on the sketch show was a cult classic.

As a result, the actor went on to star in two seasons of his own show, Col'n Carpenter, between 1990–1991.

In the mid 1990s, Kym starred in another comedy series, Full Frontal.
