Hair loss is becoming a common problem these days. Losing 50-100 hair strands is considered normal, but more than that is definitely a matter of concern. There are many reasons for hair fall like poor hair hygiene, chemical treatments for styling, pollution, medical conditions etc. Dealing with the problems at the right time is the best solution, don’t wait if you are suffering from hair fall.

Follow our easy home tips to prevent and control hair fall at home:

1. Hair hygiene: Clean hair is healthy hair always! Do not skip washing even for a day, shampoo your hair daily with a basic normal hair shampoo.

2. Preconditioning: Is it essential! Always apply oil or a basic conditioner to your hair for 5 minutes before washing.

3. Trimming: Regular trimming of your hair tips is very important to keep it healthy. Do it every 8-10 weeks. It won’t affect your length.

4. Stop fancy products: Do not use fancy styling products – colors, setting gels, sprays etc. Using styling products with hair fall makes it worse.

5. No hot water: Stop using hot water for your hair if it’s falling regularly. It makes hair excessively dry and starts to break.

6. Control dandruff: If you notice dandruff on the scalp, try to remove it fast. Fresh Aloe Vera gel on the scalp once a week before washing is a good natural solution.

7. Scalp cleaning: Scrub your scalp gently once a month. You can use store bought scrubs for your scalp or do it with a mix of Aloe Vera gel & granulated sugar. Apply and massage it on the scalp for 5 minutes before washing.

8. Oiling: Mix castor & olive oil in equal parts and apply on your scalp for 20 minutes once a week before washing.

9. Brush gently: Do not use combs at all till you fix your hair fall. Use a wide toothed brush for your hair always.

10. Clips & bands: Use accessories that are gentle on your hair. Using tight clips & bands can break your hair and increase hair fall.

11. Easy drying: Dry up your hair gently with a towel after washing. Do not wipe off your hair strongly. Best is to use an old cotton t-shirt or a microfiber towel for drying.

12. Sun bath: Allow your hair to get some Sun heat. It makes it healthy and strong for sure.

13. Stop conditioner: Avoid using normal conditioner after shampoo when your hair is falling. Do preconditioning instead.

14. Onion juice: It works best for most! Apply fresh onion juice on the scalp for 5 minutes before washing once a week.

15. Eat well: Right nutrition is important. Eat a balanced diet, drink enough water and avoid foods that lack nutrition.
