Charlotte Crosby’s complaint against a “cruel” cosmetic surgery show has been rejected by Ofcom. The broadcasting watchdogsaid Ms Crosby had “spoken openly to the media in the past about her cosmetic procedures”.

The watchdog added “it would have been clear to viewers” that the medical professionals were “providing their own professional judgments”.

The doc -Charlotte Crosby; What Happened to Your Face - sparked disgust from people who saw it. Charlotte added, that after being told of the documentary last year, her agent slammed its "insensitive and immoral" content, saying "They ignored her, despite repeated correspondence, and ran with it regardless.

“We only found out this week when it was in the TV listings that it was still going ahead – unbelievable."

After the backlash against the show, Channel 5 later issued an apology and removed it from its streaming service My5, saying they "take duty of care very seriously". Scarlett Moffatt fumed: "This is vile. You are beautiful inside and out Charlotte. This show has encouraged trolling, in a world where you can be anything be kind."

Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry said: "Love you so much you don’t deserve this you are beautiful." I'm A Celebrity winner and fellow In the Style ambassador Jacqueline Jossa blasted: "They are cancelled!!!!! What a mistake. VILE VILE !!

"Charlotte you are so beautiful inside and out. This is WRONG on so many levels. I’m so angry. How is this even possible? this program is encouraging trolls to keep on. I’m so so shocked."
